课程简介
The undergraduate degree program at Texas State is unique, interdisciplinary, and transformational. Few civil engineering programs in the country holistically focus on the application of technology to the monitoring and maintenance of civil infrastructure assets. Ultimately, our goal is to maintain the safety, economic value, and in-place performance of an infrastructure asset by impacting its sustainability and improving its life-cycle costs.

What this means is that every civil engineering course, some general engineering courses, and the TEI five-course core sequence addresses at least one of the basic components of Technology-enhanced Infrastructure. The TEI core includes CE 1210, CS 1342, ENGR 3373, CE 3310, and CE 4356. Further, the academic program is configured so that students can progress from being a novice to having a firm understanding of TEI by the time they reach the Civil Engineering Design (Capstone) sequence. This is accomplished by adding more depth to the TEI coverage each semester.
