Transcripts. Don't submit your transcripts to UC at this point, but refer to them as you fill out the application to ensure the information you enter is accurate.
Test scores. UC will not consider SAT or ACT test scores when making admissions decisions or awarding scholarships. If you choose to submit test scores as part of your application, they may be used as an alternative method of fulfilling minimum requirements for eligibility or for course placement after you enroll.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): Internet-based test (iBT) or iBT Home Edition: Minimum score of 80 or better. Paper-delivered test: Minimum score of 60 or better
IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Overall band score of 6.5 or higher, includes IELTS Indicator Exam
Duolingo English Test (DET): Minimum score of 115
SAT (March 2016 or later) Writing & Language Test: 31 or higher
SAT (prior to March 2016) Writing Exam: 560 or higher
ACT combined English-Writing or English Language Arts portion: 24 or higher
AP English Language and Composition, or English Literature and Composition: 3, 4, or 5
IB Standard Level examination in English: Literature, or Language and Literature: 6 or 7
IB Higher Level examination in English: Literature, or Language and Literature: 5, 6, or 7

The UCSC robotics engineering program prepares graduates for rewarding careers at the interfaces between electrical, computer, and mechanical engineering. UCSC robotics engineering graduates will have a thorough grounding in the principles and practices of robotics and control, and the scientific and mathematical principles upon which they are built, they will be prepared for further education (both formal and informal) and for productive employment in industry. The program objectives of the UCSC B.S. in robotics engineering are: Graduates who choose to pursue a career in industry, government, or academia will become successful engineers, scientists, or educators who demonstrate strong leadership, technical, and team skills, and a commitment to continuing professional development. Graduates who choose to pursue advanced degrees will gain admission to graduate programs and will be successful graduate students.
