Option 1
Successful completion of the Electronics Technician certificate (or equivalent, by permission of the Electronics department).
Applicants must meet the Degree/diploma level English language proficiency requirement. For details on how this requirement may be met, see the English language proficiency requirement section of the calendar.
Option 2
One of the following-
Successful completion of other relevant post-secondary education (such as pre-electrical engineering, electrical engineering or physics courses), as evidenced by educational transcripts, or
Training experience and documented workplace hours in a related discipline.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - IBT score of 88 with no section below 20, or paper-based score of 570 with a TWE (essay) score of 4.5 or higher.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic format - score of at least 6.5., with no band score less than 6.0.
MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) - score of at least 85.
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language) - score of at least 70.

The two-year Automation and Robotics diploma builds on a foundation of electronics theory. As a graduate of UFV's Automation and Robotics Technician program you will have the skills and confidence to build, maintain, calibrate and integrate automation and control systems.
