baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university in construction related area. Graduates of curricula outside these areas may be required to satisfy program prerequisite before full admission into the program.
a copy of an official transcript from each institution where course credit was granted
a competitive GPA in your last 60 hours of undergraduate course work (plus any completed graduate courses)
knowledge of construction management demonstrated through previous coursework and/or work experience
GRE Scores - GRE not required

statement of purpose (maximum two pages) conveying your research/professional interests, plans for graduate study, and professional aspirations
resume/CV detailing work experience, extracurricular and community activities, and honors and achievements
two letters of recommendation from persons best able to assess the student's ability to succeed in graduate school
official TOEFL iBT scores required with a 78 overall
official IELTS (academic) scores required with a 6.5 overall and
minimum individual module scores of 6.0

Texas State is located in San Marcos, Texas, part of the booming Austin Metropolitan Area. Students have opportunities in construction-oriented research, internships, and employment.<br><br>Texas State's construction management master's degree is based on nationally recognized academic standards along with feedback from the department's Construction Advisory Board.<br><br>The program prepares students to become innovative professionals and leaders in the global construction marketplace.<br><br>The construction management (CM) MS graduate program is offered 100% online or delivered traditionally on-campus. Graduates of this program will leave with marketable skills dealing with advanced project management principles and practices, critical thinking and creativity, and complex problem solving and decision making in construction projects. They will also be able to integrate information and communication technology in Construction Management. Texas State will be developing construction professionals who will fill the industry gap for people with advanced management and leadership skills.<br><br>The MS in Construction Management program is STEM designated.<br><br>The 30-hour program is offered in the following two paths:<br><br>Non-Thesis Option. For professional working students whose career goals are to attain advanced knowledge in the Construction Management field. The courses will be available 100% online to allow students to maintain their employment status. Students can choose to attend full time or part time. Full-time students will be able to complete the program in one year.<br><br>Thesis Option. For students inclined to go to a Ph.D. program or develop an in-depth knowledge in a specific area.
