A UK first or second class honours degree in a relevant subject area, or
An equivalent international qualification (find out whether your qualification meets our requirements by visiting our International Student page), or
Relevant work experience in combination with a degree below second class honours.
If you do not meet our formal entry requirements, but still feel you can demonstrate the ability to complete the course successfully, you may still be accepted onto a course. Each application will be considered on its merits.

The industry focused environment at Cranfield creates a distinctive background to undertake your aerospace doctoral degree. You will be working closely with your academic supervisors, many of whom are leading in their area of expertise. Access is available to our impressive aerospace facilities for the duration of your research.<br><br>Many of our programmes are sponsored by industry, allowing you to work on finding solutions to real-life problems. We attract researchers from all over the world which creates a rich, supportive learning environment and enables learning about broader aspects of aerospace and aviation. The Aerospace Doctoral Training Centre activities include the extensive core skills training portfolio, a weekly seminar series, a monthly student-led forum, an annual large-scale conference, topic-themed workshops.
