This is a two-year programme. You can convert Diploma-level or similar qualifications to a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree. Details on our new BEng (Hons) Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Engineering joint degree with the Singapore Institute of Technology can be found on the SIT website. We have formed an IMechE Newcastle University Student Chapter Singapore. This degree aims to produce creative and innovative engineers. You'll graduate with more than just the ability to pass exams. You'll become capable of building successful teams. This is key to internationally competitive businesses and organisations. The degree covers all aspects of an integrated approach to design and manufacturing including: design for manufacturability, management (of innovation and new product introduction as well as of operations and systems), enabling technologies (with new developments in sensors, actuators and robotics for both products and their manufacture), underpinning engineering science (including materials and processes).
