Mathematics requirement: one of the following:
Pre-calculus 12 or Principles of Mathematics 12 with a minimum grade of B
Calculus 12 with a minimum grade of A
MATH 092 and MATH 093, each with a minimum grade of B
MATH 095 with a minimum grade of B (discontinued)
MATH 096 with a minimum grade of B
MDPT score of 70% or better
MATH 110 with a minimum grade of C+
MATH 111 with a minimum grade of C
Science requirement: one course from one of the following disciplines, with a minimum grade of C+:
Biology: Anatomy and Physiology 12, Biology 12, BIO 093, or BIO 111
Chemistry: Chemistry 12, CHEM 093 (discontinued), CHEM 110, or CHEM 113
Geography: Physical Geography 12, Geography 12, GEOG 101 (discontinued), GEOG 102 (discontinued), or GEOG 103
Geology: Geology 12 or GEOG 116
Physics: Physics 12, PHYS 093, PHYS 100, PHYS 101, PHYS 105, or PHYS 111
English Language Requirements:
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - IBT score of 88 with no section below 20, or paper-based score of 570 with a TWE (essay) score of 4.5 or higher.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic format - score of at least 6.5., with no band score less than 6.0.
MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) - score of at least 85.
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language) - score of at least 70.

UFV's Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography provides you with a strong background in natural sciences, a comprehensive understanding of factors affecting the environment, and hands-on expertise in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating data.<br>Physical Geography major<br>This Bachelor of Science major introduces you to the different sub-fields of physical geography including: climatology, geomorphology, biogeography, and geographic information systems (GIS).<br>You begin your studies by learning about the earth's physical environment and various phenomena and understanding how these are affected by human activity.<br>In your third and fourth year, you can choose from a variety of physical and human geography topics that interest you. You can specialize in one or more sub-fields of Physical Geography, including climatology, geomorphology, biogeography, or geographic information systems (GIS).<br>Throughout your major, you get to formulate your own research questions and take what you've learned in the classroom and apply in the field.<br>The physical geography major is a good option if you are considering a Masters of Science in Geography, Earth Sciences, or a related field.<br>Physical Geography minor<br>Learn the science behind how the earth was formed and functions and develop strategies to solve real-world environmental issues.<br>With a hands-on learning approach, you are exposed to various field techniques and learn how to conduct your own field research.<br><br>###Covid Alert Message from University – This course is offered online and will continue on campus later.
