The Department offers courses of study leading to the degrees of M.S. and Ph.D. in chemistry. We approach our graduate education using a very interdisciplinary approach that prepares graduates to be independent researchers, provides them with an education with both breadth and depth in training in chemistry, and just as importantly, and focuses on the development of good communication skills. In collaboration with the Department of Physics, the Department of Chemistry offers a chemical physics option as part of the chemistry Ph.D. program.
