该系提供通往化学学士和理学学士学位的课程。BS学位是由美国化学学会认证的。选修该专业的学生必须在化学课程的头两年中获得至少2.0的GPA。任何班级的入学取决于前提课程的满意成绩，高级课程的注册必须经过部门的批准。拥有化学专业的学士学位或BS学位的候选人必须在其化学课程中获得200或更高的最低GPA 2.0。除非另有说明，否则所有化学专业的课程都只对字母专业的学生开放（即使是那些专业都不要求的课程）。专业要求按字母等级完成必修的物理，生物学和数学课程。BS课程是为计划在化学专业上获得学士学位或高级学位的学生
The Department of Chemistry offers courses with outstanding faculty and research opportunities in world-class laboratories to undergraduate students interested in exploring the material world.<br>The department offers four majors certified by the American Chemical Society (B.S., B.S with concentration in Medicinal Chemistry & Drug Discovery, B.S with concentration in Biochemistry, B.S with concentration in Materials Chemistry) as well as a Bachelor of Arts. Undergraduates work alongside faculty and graduate students in research labs in a collaborative environment and have the opportunity to earn an Honors degree through their research.<br>A degree in chemistry prepares students to excel in any discipline with highly valued critical thinking, analytical and hands-on decision-making skills. Our graduates have achieved success across a variety of fields: the health professions, graduate school, law school, business school, the chemical industry, consulting or even on the stage.
