To be considered for admission to New York Institute of Technology, you must have satisfactorily completed high school (secondary school) with at least a B average or a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale.
Copies of transcripts of all high school work, including college-level courses.
Mid-year and final grades will be required.
Proof of high school graduation.
Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, Duolingo English Test, or IB English scores).
Two letters of recommendation.
A 300 to 350 word essay describing your career goals in the major you applied for and how attending New York Tech would further those goals.
SAT/ACT scores are not required for international students.

Learn to analyze, design, and safeguard computer-based systemsone of the most vital infrastructures of any organization now and into the future. The Computer Science, B.S. with a concentration in Network Security allows you to focus on network infrastructure and network security aspects, preparing you to handle IT security infrastructure challenges for businesses around the world.<br>Youll study a variety of topics such as defense-in-depth, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography, and virtual private networks. Youll also complete a substantial project that demonstrates the full extent of your technical skills and knowledge, in addition to its economic, societal, and ethical impact.<br>Youll have the opportunity to participate in our co-op program or work on funded research projects for the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, among others alongside faculty at New York Tech's Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC). Many students publish their work in recognized journals as part of the Undergraduate Research & Entrepreneurial Program (UREP).
