The Computer Applications option gives students the flexibility to combine a traditional computer science degree with a non-traditional field. Students may complete a Major in Computation Arts or in Mathematics and Statistics, or they may declare a minor in any area outside the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science.Our state-of-the-art labs for high-performance computing, networks and artificial intelligence will give you experience with the equipment you'll use in the field. Through labs, lectures and projects, you'll also:Study programming methodology to design data structures and algorithms, Receive in-depth instruction in mathematics, probability and statistics, Learn the principles of programming languages and object-oriented programming. Our hands-on approach paves the way for a smooth transition to the workforce after graduation.
