Master's degree in Scientific Computing or in appropriate discipline. In exceptional cases, a thesis-based Honours BSc degree may be considered.
Students who have completed secondary schooling, an undergraduate program, or a graduate program at a recognized institution where the language of instruction is English will normally not require an English proficiency test. If the institution is located outside of Canada and/or the language of instruction is not clearly indicated on the official transcript, applicants are advised to provide a letter from their university stating the language of instruction.
TOEFL - Paper-based score of 550 or higher, or Internet-based with a score of 80 or higher.
IELTS - An average band score of 6.5 or higher on the academic test.

Two (2) letters of appraisal
an MSc degree in Scientific Computing, or equivalent, from a university of recognized standing,
an MSc degree in an appropriate discipline from a university of recognized standing,
registration and successful performance in the Scientific Computing MSc program at MUN for a minimum of 12 months and demonstration, to the satisfaction of the Board of Study, of an ability to pursue research at the Doctoral level, with the conversion happening no later than the fifth semester of the student's MSc program, and
in exceptional cases, a BSc degree with Honours, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline that included completion of a thesis or dissertation from a university of recognized standing, and the approval of the Board of Study to enter the PhD program.
