Official transcripts listing courses, examinations, grades, and marks from your high school or college/university. Photocopies may be temporarily accepted if they are certified by an official at the American Embassy or a known world organization.
Secondary School/University Transcripts
We require a 2.0 minimum GPA for all incoming freshmen and transfer students.
New international undergraduate students (*except those who have scores of 410 on the SAT verbal or 19 on the ACT English) must take the residual ACT prior to registration for classes to assess their English skills for placement purposes. An additional placement exam may also be offered (depending on the ACT score) to ensure proper advisement into appropriate English courses.
For other international students, the English language requirement of SAU will be met when the applicant has submitted proof of ONE of the following:
A score of 500 or higher on the written TOEFL
A score of 173 or higher on the computerized TOEFL
A score of 61 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL
A score of Band 5.5 (overall) on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
A score of 43 or higher on PTE (Pearson Test of English)
A score of 90 or higher on Duolingo
Completion of Level 109 at an ELS Language Center or its equivalent
Completion of EF Level 4
*A score of 410 on the SAT Verbal or *a score of 19 on the ACT English

Information Systems Analytics (ISA) is about the practical integration of information technology and business. Information Systems is the study of how organizations use people, processes, and technology to effectively manage information. IS majors learn business management and problem-solving skills that are highly valued by employers in a variety of industries. In the first two years, students take a broad range of classes both in the Rankin College of Business and across campus.<br><br>The information systems degree is first and foremost a business degree. ISA students gain a solid foundation in business and become computer-savvy through hands-on experience with the latest technologies.<br>In the first two years of a four-year business degree, students take a broad range of classes. Upper-level courses include advanced business courses that are taken by all business majors and major-specific courses that allow Information Systems Analytics students to specialize in their areas of interest.<br><br>All Information Systems students take courses in programming, database management, systems analysis and design, enterprise information systems, and networking.<br>Information Systems electives include courses in website development and e-commerce, social media, supply chain management, accounting information systems, internships, and special topics courses.<br>Students are encouraged to obtain internships related to their career plans.<br>Students are assigned to advisors who are members of the RCB information system faculty to help with class scheduling, professional mentoring, and career placement.<br>Students who wish to pursue certification in SAP are required to have taken a minimum of 9 hours of courses with SAP content. These are available in the Information Systems Anayltics program.
