Official transcripts sent directly from the regionally accredited college or university that awarded the applicant's B.A. or B.S. degree. (You may upload scans of your transcripts, as long as you also order them to be sent directly from the institution.)
Official transcripts of any graduate coursework. Note that an accepted student who holds a graduate degree from an accredited institution at the time of admittance to the program will be automatically exempt from six semester credit hours. The 30 remaining credits must be earned within the Department of Library and Information Science. An official transcript of the graduate degree must be received.
A 500-700 word personal statement (Statement of Purpose) about how your current and/or past academic and work experiences, including volunteer work, have influenced your ability to become a leader in your field.
Three letters of reference from persons who can attest to your ability to perform graduate level studies sent directly to the Graduate Admissions Office by the author.
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores if you have a cumulative GPA under 3.0. Scores must be sent directly by the Educational Testing Service.
A minimum score on the TOEFL of 580 (paper-based test) or 237 (computer-based test) or 92 (Internet-based test) is expected. On the IELTS, an Overall Band score of 6.5 or higher is required.

A joint master's degree program in religious studies and in library and information science provides students with a background for professional practice in a variety of settings. The joint degree requires a total of 51 graduate semester hours in the two disciplines. Two specializations are available: religious studies and archival management, and general librarianship and religious studies. The masters program in the School of Theology and Religious Studies introduces students to resources, issues and research methods in religion, theology, church history, and allied fields. The program in library and information science certifies the student's competency in professional practice. The two degrees are awarded concurrently.
