The goals of the department are to provide quality undergraduate programs to prepare students for careers in business and Information Systems​ and to provide excellence in a graduate program leading to a Master of Science in Information Systems, as well as graduate coursework in Information Systems for the Master in Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in SAP. The technology-intensive courses support all degree programs within the College of Business Administration and provide opportunities for all Central Michigan University students to acquire information systems expertise. The Information Systems programs follow the Association of Information Technology Professional's model curriculum. Information systems are key foundations of the modern business world. As an information systems major at CMU, you'll learn the management and problem-solving skills needed to design, develop and use highly sought-after systems. You'll be able to analyze business processes, manage projects, and provide technical support and training.​​
