Students in the graduate program in Photonics use the latest research techniques in several disciplines to seek new ways of using light in a variety of applications. The Photonics graduate program is an important component of the educational activities of Lehigh's Center for Photonics and Nanoelectronics. It offers the following advantages: Opportunities to perform basic and applied research at the frontier of optical communications and networking. A solid foundation in physics, electrical engineering, and materials science and engineering. Close ties to industry, including Corning and Sycamore Networks.
