All applicants are required to have Mathematics: Methods ATAR, with equivalents considered, and Physics ATAR or Engineering Studies ATAR, with equivalents considered. It is desirable that all applicants have Mathematics: Specialist ATAR, with equivalents considered. Applications for this course are not accepted through ECU's Experience Based Entry Scheme. Provide your Secondary school results. With a Diploma or Advanced Diploma, you could also be eligible for advanced standing. Minimum requirements for secondary school results can change, depending on the country where you completed secondary study. International Baccalaureate Diploma - Minimum of 24 points (Minimum of 28 points for Law), consisting of aggregate from 3 higher level & 3 subsidiary level
English Language Requirements:
Academic IELTS - An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 6.0
TOEFL paper based - Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better
TOEFL internet based - Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17

Computer systems engineering requires in-depth knowledge of digital and analogue electronic systems along with a detailed understanding of computer architecture, software design and hardware-software interfacing. Graduates of this course will be conversant with all aspects of computing from the development and application of individual microprocessors, to the design of personal, mainframe or supercomputer systems, as well as real-time and embedded systems implementation, robotics, and software engineering. As with all of the Schools engineering programs, the Computer Systems Engineering program focuses on the development of knowledge and skills relevant to professional engineering practice and along with a sound theoretical base, includes strong elements of practical problem solving, team work and project development. As a result, as well as having multiple technical and transferable skill competencies, graduates will gain strong analytical skills, and have the ability to lead complex projects.
