Before you begin your course application, check that you meet the requirements -
Applicants with higher education study-
A completed higher education qualification at AQF level 5 (diploma) or above, or equivalent, from an Australian University or another accredited higher education provider, OR
Successful completion of at least 1 EFTSL (equivalent full-time student load, or one full year) of an AQF level 6 (Associate Degree) or above, or equivalent, from an Australian University or another accredited higher education provider
Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study-
A completed vocational education qualification at AQF level 4 (Certificate IV) or above, or equivalent, from a registered training organisation (RTO) OR
Successful completion of at least 1 EFTSL (equivalent full-time student load, or one full year) of an AQF level 5 (Diploma) or above, or equivalent, at a registered training organisation (RTO)
Applicants with work and life experience –
Demonstrated ability to undertake study at the required level-
broadly relevant work experience (documented e.g., CV), demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success, OR
formal, informal or non-formal study, completed or partially completed, demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success, OR
written submission to demonstrate reasonable prospect of success, OR
discipline specific portfolio (art and/or design).
IELTS – overall score of 6.0 minimum or above, with no skills band less than 5.5

A Bachelor of Software Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) provides the technical abilities and core soft skills required for a career in AI. You will cover topics including machine learning, computer vision and speech recognition, as well as concepts like future thinking and market insights. You will build a suite of skills and experience that will prepare you for a career as an AI-expert developer. This course offers a range of technical subjects with a focus on the major areas of AI – from natural language processing to robotics. You will identify and solve complex artificial intelligence software engineering problems and develop skills that are increasingly the mainstay of software engineering. The course is founded on strong traditional and cutting-edge software engineering know-how, such as programming, maths and statistical knowledge, as well as ethics, social responsibility and cognitive psychology. Working in teams, you will develop collaboration, negotiation and research skills that you will take with you to the professional environment.
