The minimum entry requirement is successful completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or international equivalent) in computer science with a minimum Weighted Mark Average (WAM) 65% (or its equivalent as based on the level of standard assessed by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition) in their previous qualification. Applicants who have successfully completed a four-year engineering Australian bachelor degree with a substantial computer science content, equivalent to a three-year computer science degree with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) 65% (or its equivalent as based on the level of standard assessed by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition) in their previous qualification may also be considered. International applicants must also have obtained a minimum score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0 in IELTS (Academic), or an equivalent English language test. TOEFL Paper based: overall score of 550 with 5 or better in TWE (Test of Written English). TOEFL Internet based (iBT): overall score of 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing.
