High School Transcript –
Submit your high school transcript (includes all high school coursework and grades).
A certified translation is required for any transcript not written in English.
College/University Transcript(s)-
Submit your official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities where college-level credits were earned (either while in high school or after graduating high school).
A certified evaluation (course-by-course with GPA calculation) by a NACES member organization is required for all non-US college-level coursework.
First-Year - 3.0 cumulative GPA OR 1120* SAT (evidenced-based reading & writing and math) OR 22 ACT (composite score). *1040 for exams taken prior to March 2016.
TOEFL Paper-Based Test (Accepted through April 2023) - A minimum score of 500.
TOEFL IBT Test - Overall score of 61.
IELTS Academic - Overall band of 6.0. No band below 5.5.
MTELP Computer-Based Test - Level 3. Overall score of 100.
Duolingo - A minimum score of 95.
MTELP Paper-Based Test - Overall score of 76.
SAT - Minimum of 480 on reading/writing.
*Minimum of 500 on critical reading for exam taken prior to March 2016.
ACT - Minimum of 18 on English.

教学与学习系致力于培养学生作为中学教师的才能。完成该计划的学生将获得学士学位,并由内华达州许可以6-12年级的教师身份授课。已经拥有学位并想成为中学教师的学生,需要通过教师许可计划进行课程学习。每个打算从UNLV获得中学教育学位的学生都必须满足“第一教学领域”的课程要求。
The Department of Teaching & Learning is dedicated to preparing students to excel as Secondary teachers. Students who complete this program will earn a bachelor's degree and be licensed as a grade 7-12 teacher by the State of Nevada. Students who already have a degree and want to become a Secondary teacher, need to take course work through the teacher licensure program. Every student who intends to receive a degree in Secondary Education from UNLV is required to meet course requirements for a First Teaching Field.<br><br>Learning Outcomes<br>Upon completion of this program, graduates will be able to:<br><br>Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the subject matter that they teach as described in professional and institutional standards.<br>Effectively plan classroom-based instruction utilizing effective instructional practices.<br>Practice evidence-based decision-making through the use of formative and summative assessments as well as the critical interpretation of research and inquiry in order to improve educational practice.<br>Demonstrate understanding of learners and their social, cultural, and language contexts with a global perspective and intentional sensitivity to other cultures.<br>Integrate technology in instruction to support student learning and develop data-driven solutions for instructional and school improvement.
