To meet the minimum eligibility standards for graduate study at San Francisco State, an applicant must:

1.Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution, or shall have completed equivalent academic preparation as determined by the appropriate campus authority,

2.be in good academic standing at the last college or university attended,

3.Have a 3.0 GPA or better in their earned undergraduate degree or the last 60-semester (90-quarter) units completed, or have earned a post-baccalaureate degree, and

4.Meet the professional, personal, scholastic, and other standards for graduate study, including qualifying examinations, as appropriate campus authorities may prescribe. In unusual circumstances, a campus may make exceptions to these criteria. IELTS - 6.5, TOEFL IBT-80, PBT-550, PTE- 59

教育学硕士:数学教育专长为小学,初中,高中教师提供了学校数学教学方面的研究,理论和实践方面的高级知识,并扩展了他们对数学内容的了解。该计划与中学教育部门共同运行。持有单一学科数学证书的人应通过中学部门申请。持有多学科证书的教师将有资格申请中学数学的补充授权。该学位还为教师准备在其学校和地区担任领导职务。
The Master of Arts in Education: Concentration in Mathematics Education provides elementary, middle school, high school teachers with advanced knowledge of research, theory, and practice in the teaching and learning of school mathematics and expands their knowledge of mathematics content. This program is run jointly with the secondary education department. Those holding a single subject mathematics credential should apply through the secondary department. Teachers holding Multiple Subject credentials will be eligible to apply for a supplementary authorization in mathematics for middle school teaching. This degree also prepares teachers to assume leadership roles in their schools and districts.<br>Promotes and supports teacher-leaders to be knowledgeable both in mathematics content and in the use of pedagogical practices that enable all students to learn mathematics.<br><br>The mathematics courses required for this program will also satisfy the requirements for a supplementary authorization to teach mathematics at the middle school level. Students from the two departments (Elementary Education and Secondary Education) take coursework together.
