Digital Environments for Learning, Teaching and Agency (DELTA) focuses on understanding, designing and implementing digital technologies that promote learning in a range of environments. These environments range from technology-enhanced classrooms to mobile devices and immersive virtual worlds, in schools, homes, museums and workplaces. The course sequence will prepare students for the culminating capstone course, where students will collaboratively develop a tool that supports learning in their area of interest. Graduating students will be prepare to work in a range of fields, including educational publishing and educational technology development, museum exhibit design, corporate training, game design, web and mobile application development, and be prepared for graduate programs in related areas. Explore theories and methods for designing and implementing technology in teaching and learning environments.Identify general principles of learning and instruction and understand the role that technology may play in supporting learning in a variety of settings.Understand the limits and nature of technology, and issues of equity and access related to digital environments for learning, teaching and agency.
