The Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership at the University of Maine is for experienced educational leaders looking to stretch themselves professionally and academically. The program is designed to equip students with the skills and insights necessary to understand organizational dynamics and leadership in an increasingly complex world. Coursework is collaborative and takes place within our unique dual-cohort Ph.D. in PreK-12 Education program, helping develop and strengthen students' knowledge and skills as educators, critical thinkers and researchers. Graduates of the doctoral program educational leadership program at the University of Maine work as school district superintendents, administrators, curriculum coordinators, principals, and assistant principals. In addition, our graduates are prepared to teach at the college and university level, or work for nonprofit and government agencies specializing in education policy.
