If you've already completed your bachelor's degree and wish to earn your certification for teaching, we offer postbaccalaureate certificates in elementary education, secondary education, K-12 art education and special education.You can earn your teaching license face-to-face or via distance education and online classes, on a schedule that works for you. When you complete the postbaccalaureate program, you'll be eligible to apply for a teaching certificate or add an endorsement to an existing teaching certificate.Offered on the Fairbanks campus only, this is an intensive, classroom-based K-12 art licensure program (34 credits) that prepares postbaccalaureate candidates for K-12 teaching positions. The program is specifically designed to prepare candidates to teach in multicultural settings in Alaska. The content will specifically identify and discuss current issues of art education and applying Alaska content/performance standards and frameworks as well as national standards for art education.
