国际学生入学条件

A master's degree from Simon Fraser University or its equivalent from a recognized institution, OR a bachelor's degree, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5/4.33, or a grade point average of at least 3.67/4.33(A-) based on the last 60 credits of undergraduate courses. All graduate work is also considered. Individual graduate programs may set a higher admission grade point average. Students admitted directly from a bachelor's degree must complete at least 50% of the course work units required for the relevant department's master's program if no course work is required as part of the doctoral degree.
IELTS (academic) - overall band score of 7.0 of the academic (NOT general) test with a minimum of 6.5 in each section, TOEFL(Internet-based) - 93 with minimum of 20 in each category, TOEFL(Paper-based) - 580 and TWE 5

This program is designed primarily for those intending to pursue careers in R&D and/or teaching at the post-secondary level. It is based on an apprenticeship model of learning in which students work closely with faculty members on research projects at the leading edge of their fields. Students also participate in non-credit Doctoral Fireside Chats (our scholarly community meetings that are held every other month). This program is designed to offer flexibility for students by holding most classes in the late afternoon/evenings. Classes tend to be held on our Burnaby campus.

关于西蒙菲莎大学

蒙弗雷泽大学（Simon Fraser University,简称SFU）是以十九世纪探索温哥华地区的探险家西蒙·弗雷泽命名，于1965年成立。是一所中等规模的文理科综合性大学，现有在校学生19000多人。           该校曾多次被加拿大的权威时事杂志Maclean评为加拿大最佳综合学府，一直在加拿大大学综合声誉排行榜上名例前十名，素有“加拿大最有价值的综合大学“的美誉。从建校开始，SFU就拥有激进的名声。在最初的几年内已就教授在校内讨论敏感话题与静坐造成了不稳定。虽然这股风气已经逐渐减退，但总括来说SFU依然被认为是强烈的左翼校园。1960年代的学生激进份子更掀起了一场“文化大革命”去提倡加拿大大学管治的民主。1967年5月，SFU成为了加拿大第一所让学生加入理事会的大学。SFU的激进思想使它创设了创新的与富弹性的课程。举例说，在1968年SFU成为全加拿大第一所为在职经理增设EMBA课程的学府；SFU在1991年也是加拿大学府中最先提供社会学硕士课程的。
