You will use the knowledge and skills obtained in the BS in Educational Studies and Training to teach and train people in a variety of educational and industrial settings. This 2 plus 2 program will expand your career and technical competencies to excel in workplace tasks, including problem solving and critical thinking. Your specific area of teaching expertise will be determined by your previous career, industry, and education experience. The majority of your courses in the BS in Educational Studies and Training are delivered using non-traditional formats. This means your courses will meet online or once a month during the evening to work around your schedule. Some of our classes even meet in regional locations across Missouri for timely, convenient delivery. By working with your local colleges and universities, this degree program can be taken completely online. You will use the knowledge and skills obtained in the program to: Meet the Missouri Teacher Standards (MTS) at the introductory level or above. Develop a thorough understanding of instructional materials and their development. Produce and implement authentic student assessments. Disaggregate assessment data for improved student learning and performance in the 3 primary domains of learning, cognitive, psychomotor, and affective. Learn methods and techniques for teaching CTE students, including exceptional children. Become an effective CTE classroom and laboratory manager. Assist CTE students preparing for college and/or career readiness.
