教育科学学士学位（中学）

教育学院为宾州7-12年级的I级教师认证提供准备，内容涵盖四个方面：生物学，英语，数学和社会研究。学生将在其内容领域获得理学学士学位或文学学士学位。宾夕法尼亚州教育部与40多个州签订了互惠协议。教育课程侧重于教学策略，表现和专业精神。通过专业发展机会，校园内外的实地经验提供额外的学习经验。每个中学课程都通过将所需的内容和教育课程与在城市，郊区和乡村教室中的实践经验相结合，为教师候选人准备在特定于学术，包容和多样化的环境中工作。在大学工作人员的安排和监督下，实地体验始于该新生一年级的第一学期。
The School of Education offers preparation for Pennsylvania Level I teacher certification in grades 7-12 in four content areas: biology, English, mathematics and social studies. Students earn a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree in their content area. The Pennsylvania Department of Education has reciprocity agreements with over 40 states. The education curriculum focuses on teaching strategies, performance and professionalism. Additional learning experiences are provided through professional development opportunities, on and off campus, and field experiences. Each of the secondary programs prepares teacher candidates to work in academic-specific, inclusive and diverse settings through a combination of required content and education courses with practical experiences in urban, suburban and rural classrooms. Arranged and supervised by University staff, the field experiences begin in the first semester of the student's freshman year.
