Official transcripts with a calculated GPA for the institution that awarded your baccalaureate degree, Official transcripts of each graduate institution awarding degree(s) or course credit beyond a baccalaureate degree (if applicable).

Applicants from countries outside of the United States in which English is not the language of instruction, must also submit a score of 79 or above on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), a score of 6.5 or above on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), a score of 100 or above on the Duolingo Test, a score of 59 or above on the Pearson PTE test, or a score of 4 or above on the International English Language Proficiency Test (iTEP). A waiver of this requirement may be available for IELI Bridge to University graduate-level students.

The Master of Education in Secondary School Education program at Worcester State University helps you refine your teaching skills and broaden your content area knowledge so that you can excel as an educator in grades 8-12. Designed for teachers with an initial license in secondary school education, our Education Department's well-established program offers an advanced degree in education with a concentration in one of the following subject areas: biology, English, history, math, or Spanish. The Master of Education in Secondary Education has been designed to reflect the most current Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) ''Regulations for Educational Licensure,'' particularly the aspects dealing with the provision for more content knowledge. Students have used the degree for career advancement, professional licensure, curriculum leadership, and other professional and personal goals. WSU's Department of Education collaborates with relevant departments in the Liberal Arts and Sciences to provide content area courses. Please discuss your content area with the program coordinator to ensure WSU can meet your needs.
