The Gordon T. and Ellen West College of Education offers teacher certification for elementary, secondary, all-level teachers, and a B.A. and B.S. in Sport and Leisure Studies. Students who wish to become elementary teachers (Early Childhood - Grade 6, 4-8 Generalist, Grades 4-8) graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (BSIS). Students who wish to become secondary teachers (Grades 7-12) or all-level teachers (Grades K-12) pursue a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, or Bachelor of Business Administration with a major and/or minor in appropriate teaching fields. We offer a wide variety of degrees, both in person and online, for students interested in becoming teachers. Whether you seek a career in education or any of the other fields that share our college, we want you to walk away with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to step into a role as a leader in your field.
