You can earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education at Purdue University Northwest. A student must meet Gate requirements in order to proceed with their education degree. One requirement of the Gate System is the successful completion of the CASA tests. The degree meets licensing requirements of the Indiana Professional Standards Board and the Purdue University School of Education. It includes a 16-week student teaching requirement, completed at an area elementary school. Elementary Education at PNW is an experiential program that prepares you for licensure in grades K-6. You will be immersed in field experiences with our partner school districts, allowing you to work with varying age levels and build a network across Northwest Indiana. You will also gain valuable experience using best practices teaching children with diverse needs.
