All applicants must hold at least a bachelor's degree and a teaching or special services license.

Electronic copy of most current teaching or special services license. (License required for principal licensure applicants only.)
Three letters of recommendation. The recommenders are sent an email with a link to the recommendation form. When a recommender submits the form, we receive an email notifying us that a recommendation has been submitted on your behalf. The recommendation includes a space for your recommender to cut and paste their recommendation.
One official transcript from every previous college/university attended.
Please submit transcripts from (a) institutions granting previous degrees and (b) institutions from which courses have been taken that you wish to transfer into the program. Transcripts should be issued to you, collected by you, and subsequently sent to the School of Education & Human Development in the original, unopened envelopes. Instructions on where to mail transcripts are provided in the application.

The ALPS-MA (non-licensure) concentration in Higher Education Leadership serves to prepare leaders for positions in Higher Education or community based settings with the knowledge and skills necessary to support student success in accessing and completing college. Related career paths include higher education administration, student affairs, or college access programs. Graduates of this program will possess the knowledge and skills to work as effective leaders and change agents for promoting diversity and inclusion in higher education and college access and success settings. This 30 credit hour degree is designed to be completed in approximately two years. Students will complete four leadership courses, one research course and five courses within Higher Education and Student Affairs.
