An applicant who has not completed any post-secondary education after high school is considered a first-time freshman applicant. If there is a gap between the time you graduated high school and when you are applying to the University, but have not attempted or completed any college or university coursework, you are still considered a first-time freshman. Please note that an evaluation from an agency is not required or recommended as we do in-house evaluations of all foreign credentials.

Deaf Studies takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of Deaf and hard-of-hearing people in American and world society. The program promotes the understanding of the Deaf community as a linguistic and cultural group and encourages students to analyze existing stereotypes and policies relating to Deaf and hard-of-hearing people in order to work both within their own communities and others in affecting change for the betterment of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
