Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions should be uploaded with your electronic application and may be used for departmental admission review purposes. If offered admission, you will be directed and required to submit to the JMU Graduate School an official transcript from any institution from which a degree has been awarded to finalize your admission. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution.

Two-to-three page written statement
Two Letters of Recommendation (one from an individual who can speak of your potential as a graduate student and another who can comment on your professional dispositions.)
Teacher candidates must also apply for, and be admitted toTeacher Education at JMU.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT total score of 80 or above. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall band score of 6.5 or above.

This program is designed to prepare students to work with young children, birth to age five,<br>with developmental delays and disabilities and their families. The program emphasizes family<br>involvement, inclusive opportunities and collaboration. Students are prepared to work in<br>school, community, hospital, and home settings providing Early Intervention and/or pre-k<br>special education services. Students accepted into the Post Baccalaureate Degree M.A.T. in<br>ECSE graduate with course work leading to initial licensure in Early Childhood Special<br>Education.<br>Total: 44-52 credit hours
