College Transcripts – Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded to the Graduate School application. Information on submitting official transcripts will be provided to you by the Graduate School. Grade reports or unofficial transcripts from university web portals will not be accepted.
International applicants must provide original language documents and English translations. If the documents are not provided in English, an official English translation of all transcripts/ individual semester mark sheets is required.
If admitted, the applicant will be required to submit official transcripts, diplomas/degree certificates, and test scores by the twelfth class day of the term to which the applicant is admitted.
Original or Certified Copies of All College and University Transcripts - Include mark sheets, examination results, etc. An official English translation is required. If the degree is not complete when the application is made, six semesters or three years of course work are required.
All international applicants must be in good academic standing at any school they are currently attending. All international applicants must have been in good standing in all schools they previously attended at their final matriculation.
TOEFL - The minimum TOEFL score required is 550 (paper-based version) or 79 (internet-based version).
IELTS - The minimum IELTS required score is an overall band score of 6.5 on the Academic version.

The Counseling programs at TTU are nationally accredited by CACREP (Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs), and they are the only programs west of Dallas and east of Albuquerque with CACREP accreditation. The 60-hour MEd program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling includes the required coursework and is designed to prepare students for licensure by the Texas Board of Professional Counselors (Licensed Professional Counselor-LPC)) and certification by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Programs in the College of Education identify a Trademark Outcome that defines the higher order outcomes that will enhance the success of graduates when entering their counseling careers. The Trademark Outcome for Clinical Mental Health Counseling is Create and implement treatment plans and programs to serve the needs of clients, communities, and agencies where our students are and will be employed.<br><br>Faculty are involved in local, state, regional, and national professional counseling organizations. Faculty support and encourage students to be involved in professional organizations. Faculty foster an environment of appreciation and respect for differing values, beliefs, and backgrounds. Faculty subscribe to the ethical standards and values recognized by the counseling profession, and they expect students to learn and follow the same ethical standards. Faculty support and encourage the application of ethical practices and policies ensuring access, equity, and excellence in Counselor Education.
