Bachelors degree from accredited university, conferred prior to program start date.

Application can be submitted during final semester of bachelors degree.
No restrictions on type of undergraduate degree, any bachelors degree accepted.

Full admission = 2.75 GPA or better for all undergraduate coursework OR a 3.00 GPA for the last 64 credits of undergraduate coursework.

Provisional admission = 2.5 – 2.74 GPA for all undergraduate coursework.
Undergraduate GPA lower than 2.5 for all undergraduate coursework may preclude an applicant from obtaining admission.

The School of Counseling at the University of Akron offers a Master's Degree in School Counseling. This course of study is based upon CACREP and the Ohio Department of Education's standards. It is designed to prepare students to become effective leaders in the process of transforming school counseling under the ASCA's National Model for School Counseling Programs.
