The Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) provides you with the skills to supervise a small residential or commercial construction project. This course has been designed for people looking to start a career in the building industry or for people looking to change careers or re-enter the workforce.<br>You will learn about safety, contracts, structural principles and materials, estimating, and quality management.<br><br>The strength of the program lies in its flexibility to adapt content to cover residential, industrial and commercial low rise construction, with special attention to current industry practices and processes.<br><br>On completion, students can expect to have the knowledge and skills required of a builder, site manager, foreperson or construction manager on a residential project or low rise commercial project.<br><br>This qualification is acceptable to the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) for registration in some of the classifications for Domestic Builder Limited (DB-L). The qualification can support relevant registration in other states and territories.
