Newcastle provides the ultimate case study for planning students. The rise and decline of industry and the recent cultural renaissance have turned the city into a ?living laboratory? for exploration and study. There is a fantastic range of live planning projects on your doorstep and you will have plenty of opportunities to get out and about in the city. You study fascinating topics such as design awareness, environmental sustainability and housing policy, and enjoy a range of field trips and projects to see planning in action. You can also take a field trip in second year to examine international planning issues. This degree is professionally accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). This means it satisfies the standards set by the planning profession. Urban Planning and MPlan students will be automatically enrolled to free student membership of the RTPI at the start of their degree (individuals can opt out).<br>3-year course, Full time (Optional sandwich year)
