The Agribusiness sequence is designed to advance students' knowledge of the theories of agribusiness management and the science of agricultural production and their application to decisions made by agribusiness managers. The academic content of this sequence concentrates on agricultural economics and business management subjects. Thesis Option - A 37-hour program that requires a thesis. Students selecting this option will complete the degree core requirements of seven hours, nine hours of business courses, nine hours of advanced agribusiness courses, six hours of Master's Thesis (AGR 499) and six hours of electives. Non-Thesis Option - A 37-hour program that requires a synthesizing experience consisting of three hours of Independent Study (AGR 400) under the direction of a major adviser and with the approval of an advisory committee. Students selecting this option will also complete the degree core requirements of seven hours, nine hours of business courses, nine hours of advanced agribusiness courses, and nine hours of electives. Students selecting this option must also pass a comprehensive written/oral examination.
