课程简介
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Doctor of Nursing Practice program prepares graduates to function as a family nurse practitioner for infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adult, child bearing women, and older adult populations at the highest level of nursing practice. Our program places an emphasis on family centered health promotion, translation of evidence based knowledge in support of quality outcomes, guidance and counseling of individuals, and providing care for the vulnerable and underserved. In addition this program will prepare graduates to lead and shape the future of health care through an appreciation of health policy, organizational and systems leadership, and economics and finance. This 74 credit post BSN to DNP with MSN exit offers both full-time and part-time options for degree completion. The program offers a mix of hybrid, online and on-campus course delivery. Students enrolled in the program will complete 600 hours of direct care to patients in a variety of family and primary care outpatient settings with exposure to diverse populations across the lifespan. Students are exposed to hands on skill development necessary for advanced practice. The DNP project is course based with development beginning toward the completion of the MSN degree. Students will have the opportunity to take the Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam offered through American Nurses Credentialing Commission (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and obtain Nurse Practitioner specialty certification through the State of Michigan at the time of MSN completion.

Program Requirements (75 s.h. to be chosen)
