High School/University Transcripts
Equivalent of a 2.00 US GPA.
Transcripts for all coursework completed in high school (upper-secondary), English language programs, and university or college. Transcripts should be translated into English by an official translator and/or translating agency.
Unofficial transcripts are sufficient for admission purposes.
Official transcripts are required for athletic eligibility, and may be submitted at a later date.
If you are under 18 years old during your first semester, a copy of your high school diploma is required at least one week before the semester starts.

Studied for a minimum of 3 years with all subjects in English at an international secondary school.
Attended a US high school or secondary school in a country where English is the primary language of instruction for at least one year.
Completed all years of study in a secondary school in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, German, or Dutch countries and received passing grades in English.
Attended a U.S. college or university for at least one semester (non-ESL courses).
Attended at least one semester of non-ESL courses at a college or university where English is the primary language of instruction.

The Department of American Ethnic Studies provides a major in Black Studies. The Black Studies major is geared to increase our awareness and understanding of the Black experience. The Black Studies major examines the history, culture, contributions and problems of this community. It is the department's belief that, through an examination of the heritage and contributions of the Afro-American experience, one can appreciate ones own heritage.<br><br>Learning Outcomes- <br>Students will explain the development of racism within U.S. and its impact on America.<br>Students will be able to explain that American history is not just a history of whites, but that African Americans have also made many important contributions to the development of U.S. social, political, cultural, and economic institutions.<br>Students will create an intellectual setting in which participants from all communities can gain a knowledge of the Black world, assisting them in embracing diversity in their development into productive, lifelong learners, citizens, and activists seeking to improve their communities, their nations, and the world.<br>Students will present an analysis that displays their knowledge and understanding of the diverse history, cultural linkages, and social geography of people of African heritage in Africa and the Diaspora.
