国际学生入学条件

A student qualifying for admission to the Graduate School may gain admission to the department's Master's program by meeting the following standards:
Possession of a bachelor's degree in history or at least 24 hours of undergraduate history or sufficient courses in related disciplines to indicate a background in the general area of humanistic studies.
An overall grade-point average on undergraduate work of 3.00.
At least 18 hours of undergraduate history with grades of B or above.
An overall grade-point average in undergraduate coursework of 2.50
Students admitted conditionally must maintain at least a 3.25 grade-point average in the first full semester (9 hours) of graduate coursework in history.
TOEFL - The minimum TOEFL score required is 550 (paper-based version) or 79 (internet-based version).
IELTS - The minimum IELTS required score is an overall band score of 6.5 on the Academic version

课程简介

A student in the M.A. academic preparatory concentration must successfully complete at least 36 hours of graduate work to receive the Master of Arts degree. A minimum of 24 hours must be taken in the Department of History at Texas Tech. This includes 12 hours taken at the 5000-level in one of three geographic areas of concentration (United States, Europe, or World) and 12 hours of elective graduate coursework. Of the electives, 6 hours must be chosen from geographic areas outside of the student’s geographic area of concentration.
