History is visible everywhere in American society. In short, we study the past to understand humanity's place in the world, to remember those who came before us, and to help us live more wisely in our own time.<br><br>The concentration in Asian studies is available for students seeking additional coursework in Asian history and culture. In contrast to the Asian studies minor, the concentration has no Asian language requirements.
