The objective of UNC Charlotte's nationally recognized master's degree program in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology (See Ranking Here) is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve the world of work from both an employee and organizational point of view. The program and its curriculum are built on five key foundational elements: Leadership, Organizational Change and Development, Talent, Culture/Climate, and Analytics. We strive to build the competencies set forth by our national professional organization, The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology in their Guidelines for Education and Training in I-O psychology.<br>Our I/O Psychology master's program is designed as an evening and weekend program to accommodate working professionals. For the convenience of our students, the classes are offered completely from our centrally located Center City Building at 320 E 9th St. in uptown Charlotte rather than our main campus. As such, most of our students do not engage in traditional research while here. Rather, they tend to have an applied focus which is consistent with our goal of training I-O scientist-practitioners.
