Bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university.
Statement of Intent **
Describe experiences (e.g., research, work in applied settings, relevant paid or volunteer work) that stimulated your commitment to the discipline of psychology, explaining the nature of your special interests, indicating your long-range objectives in pursuing advanced study in psychology, and stating your reasons for wanting to attend graduate school in psychology at Auburn University. Please specify faculty who best match your research interests.
For Clinical, there is no length limit but most applicants submit a 2 to 5 page (double-spaced) statement.
For CaBS and I-O applicants, your statement should be no more than 2 pages and should be single-spaced.
Diversity Statement**
Auburn University values diversity and inclusion. Please include an essay (maximum of one page, single-spaced) describing how your educational, professional, clinical (if applicable), or personal (e.g., cultural, economic or social) experiences prepare you to contribute to the department's emphasis on diversity and inclusion during your graduate career at AU. These contributions may come in the form of research topic, research population, clinical work (if applicable), professional service, personal perspective, and more.
Biographical and Education Background
Personal information and the names, dates of attendance, majors, GPAs, and degrees earned for all universities/colleges you have attended.
Unofficial transcripts should be uploaded**. Official transcripts are not required at the time of application.
List of Psychology Courses**
A list of all psychology courses you have taken or will take by the end of Spring 2023 semester.
CV or Resume**
The CV/resume is your opportunity to highlight your accomplishments including relevant research experience, publications, awards, volunteer work, and skills.
GRE - Not required for Industrial and Organizational MS program
Successful international applicants must score at least 550 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) paper version (pBT), 213 on the computer version (cBT), and 79 on the internet version (iBT). Additionally, successful applicants must score minimums of 16 on the listening, reading, speaking, and writing components of the iBT.
Auburn will also accept a 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam.
The successful applicant normally will meet one of the following: a) a GPA of at least 2.75 on all undergraduate course work at an accredited United States institution in fulfillment of the requirements for a baccalaureate degree, b) a GPA of at least 3.0 on all graduate course work at an accredited United States institution in fulfillment of the requirements for a graduate degree, or c) an acceptable GRE or GMAT score as determined by the program to which the applicant applies.

The Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology program is designed to train students with the skills and knowledge to enable students to become Industrial - Organizational (I-O) practitioners in an applied setting. I-O psychology focuses on understanding, predicting, and modifying behavior in organizational settings, typically, but not limited to, work environments. This program is designed for students who plan to enter the workforce after completing the two-year non-thesis program. This program is not intended for those who plan to pursue a doctoral degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
