课程简介
The graduate specialization in Neuroethics (anticipated 2017) educates graduate students in how ethical theories inform neuroscientific research and practice and, in turn, how neuroscientific discoveries inform ethical theorizing. With a highly interdisciplinary focus, this specialization will expose students to a wide range of approaches and applications that bridge philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, legal studies, and other fields of study. The specialization prepares students for employment in academic research, public policy, and public health. This specialization is intended for students enrolled in a Department of Psychology program area but with supplemental interests in neuroscience and philosophy. Admission and supervision will be managed by Psychology, Philosophy, and the Neuroscience Institute in consultation with the Director of Graduate Studies of the Department of Psychology. Coursework will be available through all participating departments and institutes. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in activities of the Philosophy Department's Jean Beer Blumenfeld Center of Ethics and Neurophilosophy Forum, the Neuroscience Institute's Brains & Behavior program, School of Public Health, College of Law, and other interdisciplinary Georgia State programs.
