Psychology is the study of mental processes and behavior. As psychology majors (designated as a pre-major), students learn about many diverse concepts including perception, cognition, emotion and personality. Other concepts include behavior, interpersonal relationships and the individual and collective unconscious. Coursework involves the application of learned concepts to spheres of human activity. The Bachelor of Arts degree plan emphasizes the study of humanities in Psychology, while the Bachelor of Science degree plan has a greater emphasis in science and mathematics.<br><br>Graduates often find job opportunities in human-service professions including behavioral psychology, research and counseling. Many students also continue their education through graduate or medical school.
