国际学生入学条件

International students must meet all the requirements for admission to the graduate programs specified above. In addition, they must have a TOEFL score of 550 PBT, 83 IBT or 7.5 IELTS, or better, and they must provide financial documentation of their ability to pay college tuition, fees, and living expenses.

General admission criteria include a completed graduate study application, three recommendations, statement of purpose or intent, resume and official transcripts. Additional requirements for the clinical mental health counseling M.S. program include:

Evidence of a 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale
At least 12 credit hours in psychology, human services, education or closely related areas and completed specific coursework in statistics
Satisfactory scores on either the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

In addition to learning the knowledge and skills required to be a community health counselor - with an emphasis on counselor ethics - you'll also acquire advocacy, case management, social and public policy skills. This Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs(CACREP) accredited program was created in 2006 and is approved by the New York State Education Department as a license-eligible academic program. The program focuses on the preparation of professionals who have the commitment, knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and self-awareness to offer quality counseling services. Can be pursued on a full-time or part-time basis up to the point of internship.
