Rhetoric, Media, and Professional Communication: Gain a critical eye in how language is used to persuade and sell while developing skills that enable you to write and design for professional communication channels, web, and social media. The English-RMPC degree is a versatile, flexible program that allows you to study and create a broad range of texts for the workplace, on the web, and in the media. In addition, you'll also be given a solid grounding in literature and criticism. Rhetoric, Media, and Professional Communication is one of three majors offered by the English Department. RMPC offers both intellectual challenge and practical insight into rhetoric, professional writing and information design, and digital media.This degree will give you a solid grounding in classical and contemporary rhetoric and allow you to pursue interests in advertising, technical writing, document design, and digital media.
