Philip Merrill College of Journalism undergraduates work toward a a bachelor of arts in journalism. The program is flexible and allows students to experiment and specialize.Merrill College draws on the resources and rich talent pool of the Washington-Baltimore region to give students a practical and theory-based education.No skills course has more than 20 students, ensuring one-on-one attention from some of the top journalists and scholars in the country.All students majoring in journalism take courses covering the basics of news photography, videography, audio recording and editing, Web production and digital storytelling.Our unique location helps students gain experience in the field through professional internships with leading national and regional media organizations, including USA Today, National Geographic,The Undefeated, SiriusXM Radio and CBS News.
