The Department of Criminal Justice will prepare its graduates to be effective and ethical professionals in their fields, socially responsible stewards of their communities, and leaders in their professions, by anticipating the future of criminal justice and offering students from all walks of life innovative curriculum, experiential learning opportunities in the classroom and community, and tools to identify and use research-based evidence.<br>When you choose to major in criminal justice, you'll find attentive and supportive faculty who are dedicated to helping you get a solid education in your field and pursue your career.<br>We have working relationships with dozens of organizations around Indianapolis in a wide variety of settings, from law enforcement and corrections agencies, to child care facilities and schools, to government agencies and community organizations. That means you're likely to find internship and practicum opportunities that directly relate to the field you want to work in. Often, these opportunities lead to full-time job offers.
